Ligna Stone is produced in a number of different specialty forms to provide both a distinctive look and practicality for bricklaying.
A range of sill blocks with both a contrasting smooth finish or the same textured finish as the blocks are available. Alternatively, standard size bricks can be used as sill blocks for a more conventional look.
Corner blocks with a half return are typically used with the 100mm wide veneer and double brick blocks. Half blocks are also produced for all ranges to minimise block cutting for bricklayers.
In the single skin and super insulator series there is a variety of services blocks to assist with the vertical and horizontal running of services within the wall.
Ligna Stone’s matrix provides versatility to create alternate forms for different applications.
Examples of bespoke projects include a high performance outdoor oven using a convection style design; a prototype aquaponics system and large plant pots.
The traditional handcrafted manufacturing process used to produce Ligna Stone utilises structural plywood moulds.
These moulds are easily and inexpensively manufactured to enable the production of custom sized bricks and blocks to meet individual requirements, providing clients the unique ability to produce their very own distinctive block.
